The application deadline for Jr. TEC Camp is Friday, March 30, 2018.
This fun and interactive camp is hosted by the Georgia Tech Women in Engineering Program and is designed to introduce young girls to the exciting world of engineering with the hope of inspiring them to eventually consider college majors and careers as engineers. We will be doing a variety of activities that will teach you some of the basics about engineering and give you a chance to build a few awesome projects!
This event, run by Georgia Tech’s Society of Women Engineers, will take place on February 18th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on the first floor of the Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons on Tech’s campus! Tickets cost $10 and include lunch on the day of the event.

Odyssey Atlanta is seeking students from all grades 1-12 in APS, but have an emphasis on identifying juniors and seniors to sign up for their low cost ($35) summer program at Westminster. Odyssey, a summer program with a proven track record, works with motivated public school students to help improve their school performance and instill a love for lifelong learning. Targeting Atlanta Public Schools students in rising grades 1 to 12 from disadvantaged communities, Odyssey offers an educational six-week summer camp experience for nearly 400 students, focusing on STEAM — science, technology, art, engineering, and math — through a curriculum grounded in Project Based Learning. Odyssey encourages students to embark upon a quest for knowledge and a journey toward higher education.
Girls Who Code is looking for rising junior and senior girls to participate in a free summer program that will expose them to coding learning experience, industry professionals and have them visit tech jobs to help cultivate their interest in the field. More details below:

In addition to providing a free program, Girls Who Code provides summer stipends to cover transportation and living costs for Summer Immersion Program! The summer stipend is available for all Summer Immersion Program applicants who qualify. Applications for summer 2018 open in early January 2018 with an early application deadline of February 16, and the final deadline is March 16.

The Junior DA Program is a FREE SUMMER YOUTH PROGRAM that takes 6th, 7th, and 8th graders on field trips throughout Fulton County and exposes them to numerous law enforcement and community agencies, such as: the Annual Legal and Law Enforcement Symposium, the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, the 911 Fulton County Call Center, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, the Atlanta Police Department Headquarters, the Georgia Bureau of Investigations (GBI) Crime Lab, the Fulton County Jail, the Fulton County Government Television Show (FGTV), the Atlanta Police Department Mount Patrol and Horse Stables, and Doguroo, just to name a few places the youth will visit.
