At the Friday meeting, PTA membership voted unanimously to dissolve the PTA, to be replaced by a PTO. This will be a seamless transition as we will remain a 501(c)3 membership organization, however now all annual dues will stay at Inman and we will enjoy more operational flexibility. Be on the lookout, this summer, for information about how to join the new Inman PTO!
Here are Revved Up Kids resources based on the seminar/instruction offered last week sponsored by the PTA. If you’d like to receive regular Revved Up Kids safety information and resources please opt-in to receive those by sending an email with the following info:

We look forward to seeing you there!
Inman Middle School is looking for a few good parents to fill a few exciting volunteer positions.
WE NEED A NEW TRANSPORTATION & SAFETY REPRESENTATIVE FOR THE INMAN BOARD FOR 2017–18:
Inman needs a parent-volunteer who has an interest in helping our kids get safely to school each day. You will also work with the Inman Staff and parents throughout the year to review safety issues, improve school environs safety signage and establish safe routes to school in cooperation with APS and Georgia Safe Routes to School and their corporate sponsors. Getting kids safely to school is one of the best jobs there is at Inman!
WE NEED A NEW INMAN MIDDLE SCHOOL VOLUNTEER CROSSWALK PARENTS PROGRAM ORGANIZER FOR 2017–18:
Inman also needs a parent who has an interest in continuing the Inman Middle School Volunteer Crosswalk Parents Program as organizer. Crosswalk Parents is a group of parent-volunteers who serve as crossing guards in the morning from 8:30AM until 9:05AM. We are responsible for two of the four crosswalks around Inman Middle School. Crosswalk Safety is so important in a school located as it is in a residential neighborhood, but bordered by two busy commuting corridors in Virginia Ave NE and Park Drive NE. It’s another one of the “best jobs at Inman!”
BE A VOLUNTEER CROSSING GUARD AT INMAN MIDDLE SCHOOL FOR 2017–18:
Inman Middle School also needs new individual volunteers for the above-mentioned Inman Middle School Crosswalk Parents Program as volunteer crossing guards. Whether you can commit to once or twice a week, once every-other-week or even once-a-month, we need volunteers who like to get out in the morning and start the day by helping a group of really smart, happy, friendly and excited kids get to school safely each day. There is no better or easier volunteer opportunity and you can determine how involved you want to get and how often you want to serve. Helping to make kids safe and the environs of the school safe is a great job!

Your student can improve reading skills during the summer wherever you are.
Scroll down to find the middle school books. There are books for levels 1-8, with plenty of graphic novels which are great for summer reading and the beach.
