The Inman Outward Bound Club volunteered at MedShare Saturday morning. We helped pack 256 boxes of medical supplies that are shipping to Ecuador on Monday morning. The supplies are headed for the Ecuadorean coast where more than 12,000 people were injured by a magnitude 7.8 earthquake two weeks ago.
Inman’s Outward Bound Club consists of students recommended by their 7th grade teachers and focuses on developing leadership skills through experiential problem solving.

1. This month the crew is working with The Clean Air Campaign to facilitate the No-Idling Program. Students will complete a baseline survey of the cars and buses that idle during after school dismissal. Following the baseline, students will help with “getting the word out” about the environmental impact that idling cars have on our air quality. Then they will conduct a follow up survey.
2. Last month we planted trees in the neighborhood with Trees Atlanta.
3. Last semester, 17 members spent a weekend hiking on the Appalachian Trail to Springer Mountain, Three Forks, and Long Creek Falls. Thank you to the parents who helped out on this trip: Sheila Dolinger, David Poss, Sheri Seldes & Ms. Veira-Corbett.
4. In May the crew is planning an overnight hike to Coosa Bald near Vogel State Park in North Georgia.
