Jan 18 – Mar 25, 2018
Join us for our second year at Inman as our Drone Club prepares for the annual G3 Drones for Good competition.
G3 Drones For Good is an exciting STEM competition involving drones for students in grades 6 – 8. Middle school students will work with their mentors and teachers to develop an innovative drone-based solution to a problem in their community, state, or the world. They will build and fly their own K’Nex based drones. Students will develop research, problem-solving, and communication skills while designing, building, and flying their own drones. The G3 Drones for Good 2017 season had its kick-off on January 18 and ends with the competition on March 25, with over 30 competing teams.
This term in addition to using K’Nex we will explore alternate building materials for possible drone bases.
