Come support Inman Middle School PTA with a fundraising barre class!
Inman has lost Title 1 funding, so this year’s PTA operating budget will need your generous support. Fundraising is critical, given the number of students and the demographics they serve. Their needs are many and the Inman PTA is an important resource, providing funding and support for teachers and students throughout the school year.
Suggested donation is $20 – pay by cash or check on the day of the class. Reserve your mat here.
Annual Fall Music Festival, which includes performances of the Band, Chorus, & Orchestra, is just around the corner. This event includes musical selections from movies, cartoons & musicals! The students will be performing in costumes. You are welcome to dress up as your favorite childhood nursery rhyme, book, movie or cartoon character as well!! Please save the date: October 5th, 2016 @ 6:00 PM in the IMS GYM.
Inman Movie Night is this Friday, September 23rd on the upper field. Bring your blankets and pillows and have fun with your friends. Activities start at 7pm; movie at 8pm.
The Disney Pixar movie Inside Out will be shown outdoors on the Upper Field at the intersection of Greencove and Virginia Avenue. If it rains, the movie will be held in the gym. Please note Movie Night is for Inman students ONLY. If parents would like to stay and chaperone siblings, that is welcome. We look forward to seeing you there and a big Thank You to those that can help and volunteer! Hope to see you all there!

Inman Middle School is pleased to welcome Ms. April Keels as our new Interim Assistant Principal for the remainder of the 2016-17 school year. For the past year, Ms. Keels has worked with all schools in the Grady Cluster as our Signature Program Support Specialist. Prior to this, Ms. Keels was a teacher and assistant principal in DeKalb County and instructional coach in Atlanta Public Schools. Ms. Keels will work with 6th grade students and parents, as well as serve as Inman’s testing coordinator. Her email address is email@example.com.
Mr. Frank Walker relocated to PB-3 in the Learning Village so that he may support 8th grade students and teachers for the remainder of the year. Mr. Walker will also serve as the school’s Student Information Coordinator, and will be the lead contact for scheduling questions or concerns. His email address is firstname.lastname@example.org.
Ms. Emily Boatright will work with 7th grade students and families as the administrative contact.

When Nancy Zintak and Warren Bruno started throwing this party (in the 1990s!), the only other school-wide event for Inman parents was a spaghetti supper in the cafeteria. We’ve come a long way since then, and the BBQ and Blues Bash has only gotten better with age.
So come on out to John Howell Park (directly across from Inman) on October 14. Bring your whole family, a cooler if you don’t want water or soda, and your appetite for lip-smacking BBQ from Fox Bros! We’ll have a great blues band, delicious desserts baked by Inman parents, and — best of all — fellowship with your Inman community. Come out and enjoy what we hope will be the first nip of fall (or at least a cool drink if it’s still 85 degrees) and meet the parents of all the friends that your kids are texting! You can even skip the ticket line and buy your grub NOW (see paypal link on the right).
