Welcome back to school! Now that everyone is settling into their routines, let’s not forget about Box Tops for Education! It’s easy money for the school and it’s all based on items we already buy! We have 2 coordinators this year, so thank you Claire Davis and Takeita Ward for volunteering for our Inman kids! Box Tops are worth 10¢ for schools and are found on hundreds of products. When students, families, schools and communities work together to collect Box Tops, the money adds up fast. Our first big drive ends on October 31st, and you can send your box tops in with the kids to be dropped in the office either in a bag or on the collection sheets found in the link below! Just have the kids tape their box tops to the collection sheets and then have the kids turn them in the next morning!
There’s also opportunities for Bonus box tops!! Just use the app and help Inman collect even more Box Tops for Education!
It’s super easy – just create your account and choose Inman as your school! Then, select your bonus offers and scan your receipt! No clipping involved for the Bonus Box Tops!!! Every dollar helps us provide more support for our students and our teachers!
Mondays at 4:45, Starting Aug 28th

Psi Phi Beta Youth Step Team is making moves this season to include students from all over Atlanta Public Schools! We are opening our program up to students from all APS schools in grades 3-8. Stepping is a fun and exciting percussive art form that allows participants an opportunity to use their bodies as instruments; making intricate beats and rhythms using hand claps, foot stomps and chanting. Stepping has it’s roots in the traditional South African form of dance known at the Gumboot. From its creation, stepping has continued to grow in popularity. Once being primarily performed by fraternities and sororities, stepping has taken on a new life, boasting participants in church youth groups, schools and community centers alike.
Psi Phi Beta Step Team is a competitive step team program. The team had a very successful season last year, winning both regional and state championships and placing within the top three teams at the National Stepping Alliance’s national championships in Memphis, TN. Psi Phi Beta strives to impact it’s members through a three-fold push; Physical Fitness, Academic Excellence and Teamwork through Service. Many of the Atlanta Public Schools’ initiatives are stressed in our program as well, including the Signature Cluster Theme of “Career and College Readiness” and an emphasis on social-emotional learning during team practices and events. This year, we plan to continue our successful record both locally and nationally and will participate in more community service events and college tours. It is our hope that Psi Phi Beta’s membership will reflect the beautiful diversity enjoyed by the Atlanta Public Schools community.
Please encourage your students to come out to our tryout boot-camps on Mondays and Wednesdays throughout the month of August. The camps run from 530-730pm on both days and are completely free of charge. If financial constraints may be a problem for some of your families, please encourage them to just come and we will figure out how to get them sponsored from there. If you have any questions, please call 312-532-2944 or email. You may also refer interested parties to our team website.
