Revved Up Kids is pleased to partner with the Inman Middle School PTA to bring a single session personal safety and self-defense training seminar to all students. It is the goal at Revved Up Kids to teach children and teens to defend themselves against violence of every type by providing them with information and skills that will help them stay safer.
The seminar will take place during the week of May 8, and the seminar is taught in a way that is empowering, not frightening, and boys and girls will be separated by gender and grade level. Please fill out and have your child return the Registration/Waiver/Release Form to school by Friday, May 5th if you wish for your child to participate in this program.
And, parents, please join us for a Q & A session led by Revved Up Kids on Monday, May 8th, at 6:30pm in the Inman Auditorium.
The Inman Eagles Academic Bowl team has qualified for the National Championships to be held May 12-14 in Dallas, TX. We are so proud of their achievements. The CINS Nominating Committee has identified the following slate of nominees for the 2017-18 CINS Executive Board.
Co-President: Janet Kinard for a second two-year term
Ed Hyken: his third one-year term as treasurer
Karen Manley: her first one-year term as secretary.
Dana Persons will continue in her second two-year term as co-president.
This slate of candidates will be presented for a vote by CINS’ general membership on Monday, April 24, 2017 at Grady High School in the Parent Center from 6:30 to 8 pm. CINS will also take nominations from the floor before finalizing the offices.
NOTE: CINS will be filling non-officer board vacancies over the summer. If interested in serving as a school representative or committee chair, please let us know at the email address above. We will follow up when we know what the organization’s specific needs are.

The Council of Intown Neighborhoods & Schools (CINS) is now accepting nominations for officers for the 2017-2018 school year. Open positions are co-president (two-year term), treasurer (one-year term) and secretary (one-year term).

The PTO operating budget needs your generous tax-deductible support by September 30! The suggested amount is $100 per child at Inman, but any amount is appreciated. Any amount over $20 includes a PTO family membership. $10 includes a PTO individual membership.
