Congratulations to the members of the the Inman Reading Bowl Team! Last Saturday they, again, did battle against other Metro Atlanta teams and fought their way to a second place finish. They now advance to the State Division A Semi-Finals round on Feb. 27th. The Inman team members are Rachel Bowdler and Clarice Hill, 8th graders; and Annie Laster and Mia McCown, 6th graders. The team is coached by Ms. Kemenitsa. Good luck as they work their way to the State Championship!

The Inman Debate Team did an amazing job at Saturdays tournament held at Westlake High School. Several students also moved up to a higher division. Thanks to many parents who helped judge. Congratulations to the Inman Reading Bowl Team for winning the APS District Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl Championship Saturday. They won the Middle School Division. Clarice Hill, Annie Laster, Mia McCown and Rachel Bowdler read 20 books (over 4,000 pages) and answered detailed questions to win. Congratulations ! They will represent Atlanta Public Schools in the Division Round in two weeks.
The Inman Debate Team won 1st place competing at a tournament with 20 other metro Atlanta schools on January 16, 2016. Congrats Eagles!

Congratulations to Owen Ebersbach and Jay Hammond for passing the audition for the District V Georgia Music Educators Association Honor Band. Owen and Jay are two of only four students in APS who were accepted into this ensemble. Jay received the highest score out of the entire district which in turn earned him 1st chair. In February, Jay and Owen will participate in a two day Honor Band clinic with other students in District V.
Congratulations to Isaac Turner who also passed the State level audition to go on to the Georgia Music Educators Association All – State Honor Band. He is one of only two students from APS who passed the audition! In March, Isaac will go to Athens, GA to participate in an honor band clinic with other middle school students from across the state of Georgia.
Congratulations to the Inman Academic Bowl team who went 4-2 in the Regional competition this weekend! The team narrowly missed getting to crossover.

Short Time Commitment – Big Yield: IMS PTA Nominating Committee 2016
Nominations for the IMS PTA Nominating Committee 2016 are now being accepted. Give your time and talents for a short period of time to help find leaders in our school community willing to fill the positions of the 2016-2017 Inman PTA Executive Committee (Eg: President, Vice Presidents, Secretary and Treasurer).
Nominating Committee Forms are available HERE and in hard copy in the office starting January 11 and are due back to the front office February 5, 2014. Please take a moment to review the form and then make a nomination of someone (even yourself) who could sit on this committee for a short time and make a big difference.
The Nominating Committee will be formed at the February 19th Principal’s Coffee and will report its nominations at the May General PTA meeting (date TBD). If you have questions, please contact PTA Parliamentarian, Gail Price, at email@example.com.
