Atlanta Public Schools (APS) is forming three stakeholder advisory committees, Budget & Finance Advisory Committee; Special Education Advisory Committee; and SPLOST Oversight Committee, as a way for families and the community to offer input into the learning experiences of APS students.
There are two ways that interested stakeholders can be seated on a committee: (1) apply online at the APS website to serve as an At Large Member; or (2) apply to firstname.lastname@example.org to serve as the representative for the Grady Cluster.
As the cluster group for the Grady Cluster, the Council of Intown Neighborhoods and Schools (CINS) has been asked by APS to submit the names from our community to fill the Grady Cluster positions. Working with and through the Grady Cluster PTAs and Local School Councils, CINS is soliciting nominations for each of these positions.
All nominations should be sent to email@example.com with the subject line “Advisory Committee Nominee – [insert committee name] Advisory Committee.” In your email, please include your name, email, phone number, school affiliation (parent, staff, which school or stakeholder) and short biography and statement of interest advising why your qualifications and interests make you ideal for the committee you have chosen. Self-nominations are preferred. If you choose to nominate another person, you must copy that person on your email and he/she must confirm consent to serve if chosen on or before the submission deadline.
