It’s Not Just a Job; It’s a Musical! Make plans to see Grady’s production of “Working” by Studs Terkel. The play is based on Terkel’s book of the same name — the result of interviews with more than 130 people by the Chicago author and radio personality. The show is presented through a series of 28 vignettes, with songs and monologues. From the NY Times Theater Review: “Working” has been called the nonshowbiz counterpart to “A Chorus Line.” Its journalistic roots are what make the show an intriguing piece of late-20th-century musical history.
