The Georgia History teachers of Inman Middle School are pleased to announce the 8th grade Savannah, Georgia Trip to be held on Wednesday, May 3, and Thursday, May 4, 2017. This is a two (2) day one (1) night approved trip by Inman Middle School and the Atlanta Public School System. The purpose of the field trip is to enhance the learning experience of 8th grade Georgia History students at Inman Middle. The students will be able to explore and obtain “hands on” experience in order to explain Georgia’s development by visiting authentic, historical sites. Their exposure to these sites will enhance their understanding of the importance of Georgia’s first settlement, Fort Jackson, First African Baptist Church, Andersonville National Prison, and Jimmy Carter Tour in Plains, Georgia.
The cost of the trip is only $235.00 which includes the hotel accommodation, meals, and prices for all activities. You will be able to pay online for the full amount of the trip or be able to pay in 2 increments of $117.50 for a total of $235.00.
A parent meeting for the trip will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 6:00 pm in the Inman Middle School’s media center. At this meeting, Georgia History teachers will be available for questions and provide the trip’s agenda to all in attendance. Additionally, permission slips will be available for parents to sign. This is a wonderful, educational opportunity for all of our 8th grade students to experience Georgia.
We look forward to seeing you.
